My Grandma

Après la pluie

I didn't feel like posting today but I'm doing so anyway. Just so you know. I announced a giveaway and a tutorial, but right now I'm not feeling up to it.
My grandma is not doing well. She's 95 and has been in a nursing home for about a year. Until then she lived on her own, which is quite amazing if you just think of it. She's always been a strong woman and that's how I'll remember her. But now she's tired and it looks like we'll be loosing her soon...

i hope you get to spend some precious time with your grandma - talking and listening and soaking her in.
my grandma still lives on her own, but i'm scared it won't be for much longer, and we don't visit her as often as we should.
take care.

I'm so very sorry. Losing a loved one no matter their age is a hard pill to swallow.
Prayers.

The real world should definitely take precedence over online stuff, especially when it comes to treasured family members. 95 is a venerable age but it's still hard for the family who are being left behind. Will be sending good thoughts your way.

i'm really sorry, pascale. god bless her beautiful 95 years and still counting. the british say 'god bless her cotton socks'. i'm sure not what it means, but it always sounds so dear. thinking of you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma ... know how hard that is. Had my Dad till he was 96 ... so lucky to have had him that long, but it was still so very hard, still is. I am thinking of you, your family and mostly your Grandma ... what a wonderful grand-daughter she has! Be sure to take care of yourself.

Spend some time with her, if possible, and bring your camera and batteries, journal and needlework.

We'll wait. Time won't.

Thinking of you.
